The island does not have any reef area so no coral were recorded here. Among the marine invertebrates, 6 species of crabs, 6 species of prawn, 1 species of barnacles, 1 species of lobster, 5 species of gastropods and 7 species of bivalve.

Panero Island

No. of Plants/macroalgae recorded/estimated (List):

A total of 8 species recorded, belonging to 6 families and 7 genera. Mainly scrub type vegetation like, Grewia tenax, Zizyphus nummularia, Euphorbia nivulia, Commiphora wightii and Indigofera oblongifolia most common here. Mangrove species (Avicennia sp., Rhizophora sp. and Ceriop sp.), Prosopis juliflora, grasses. Salicornia sp. and Suaeda nudiflora were also recorded here on the plain saline area.
