21 green algae, 24 red and 30 species of brown algae recorded here. The common green algae were Caulerpa racemosa, C. taxiformis, C. crassifolia, C. sertulariodes, Bryopsis indica, Chaetomorpha indiaca, Codium dwarkense, Halimeda macroloba, H, tuna, Ulva lactuca and Enteromorpha intestinalis. The commonly recorded red algae were Actinotrichia fragilis, Dictyota altromaria, Dictyopteris australis, Lyengaria stellata, Padina gymnospora and Sargassum polycystum. Among the brown algae, the common species were Amphiroa crassa, Champia indica, gelidiella acerosa, Gracellaria corticata, Halymenia verusota and Hypnea cervicornis were recorded. A total of 33 species of corals were recorded, out of which 5 were soft corals. Out of which, M. foliosa, Montipora monasteriata, M. explanata, Porites lutea, P. compressa, Favia speciosa, Favites complanata, Mycedium elephantotus, Cyphastrea serulia, Diploastrea heliopora, Favia maxima and Hydnophora exesa, T. peltata and Turbinaria crates were common forms. The soft corals recorded here were Lobophyton sp., Sinularia sp., Subergorgia sp. And Echinogorgia sp. Among the marine invertebrates, 20 species of sponges, 2 species of hydrozoans, 2 species bryozoans, 4 species of sea anemones, 2 species of jelly fish, 4 species of zoantharians, 4 species of flatworms, 4 species of tube worms, 4 species of shrimp, 14 species of crabs, 5 species of prawns, 4 species of barnacles, 1 species of lobster, 107 species of gastropods, 49 species of bivalve, 4 species of cephalopods, 2 species of nudibranch, 3 species of echinoderms, 1 species of ascidian and 1 species of urochordata were recorded. The form of Hydroids commonly known as the Stinging coral Milipora sp., which is one of the rare fauna of MNP & S was recorded here. 4 species of reptiles. 2 variety of sea turtle abundant here. 43 species of avifauna also recorded here.
Kalubhar Island

Avicennia sp., Ceriops sp., Rhizophora and Salvadora sp. A total of 12 species of coastal vegetation which belongs to 8 families and 11 genera were recorded. Island is covered with sparsely covered with Prosopis chilensi, Euphorbia nivulia, Commiphora wightii, Grewia tenax, Salvadora persica, Capparis deciduas and Acacia nilotica. Tree species like Bauhihina Sp., Acacia nilotica, Acacia Senegal, Prosopis cineraria, Salvadora Oleoides and Cordia gharaf. Scrub species like Cadaba fruticosa, Capparis deciduas, Maerua oblongifolia, Grewia tenax, Maytenus emarginata and Zizyphus nummmularia. Sarcostemma acidium recorded to occur rarely. Other species like Leptodenia pyrotechnica, Clerodendrum multiforum, Grewia villosa, Crotolaria burhia and Lycium barburum were not so commonly recorded. In the herbaceous cover, commonly occurring species were Cleome viscose, Polygala erioptera, Polycarpaea spicata, Corchorus depressus, Alysiccarpus sp., Indigofera cordifolia and Boerhavia sp.

Threats to the Island:
Anthropogenic threats from increasing number of trawlers passing from nearby area. The terminal of Kandla port in vadinar and Salaya port are situated just near to the island. The heavy traffic of ships, oil containers, barges, trawlers etc passes just near to the reef area of Island. The islands have some private land, which is being used by farmers for agriculture purposes.
