No. of Animals recorded/estimated (List):
A total of 33 species of corals were recorded, out of which 4 were soft corals. The species of M. foliosa, Montipora monasteriata, M. explanata, Goniopora planulata, Porites lutea, P. compressa, Favia speciosa, F. favus, Favites flexuosa, Favites complanata, Symphillia radians, Mycedium elephantotus, Turbinaria crates and T. peltata were recorded. The soft corals recorded here were Lobophyton sp., Sinularia sp. and Echinogorgia sp. Among the marine invertebrates, 16 species of sponges, 1 species of hydrozoans, 2 species bryozoans, 4 species of sea anemones, 3 species of jelly fish, 4 species of zoantharians, 4 species of prawn, 2 species of flatworms, 3 species of tube worms, 3 species of shrimp, 16 species of crabs, 3 species of barnacles, 1 species of lobster, 84 species of gastropods, 39 species of bivalve, 4 species of cephalopods, 2 species of nudibranchs, 2 species of echinoderms and 1 species of ascidian were recorded which contributes 221 species of marine invertebrates. 4 species of reptiles. 2 variety of sea turtle abundant here. 11 species of avifauna also recorded here.
Paga Reef
No. of Plants/macroalgae recorded/estimated (List):
A total of 78 species were recorded, out of which 28 green algae, 14 species of red algae, 3 species of brown algae and 3 species of sea grasses. The common green algae were Bryopsis indica, B. raulosa, Caulerpa racemosa, C. crassifolia, Chaetomorpha indiaca, Codium dwarkense, C. dwarkanse, Halimeda capiosa, H. discoidea, H, tuna, Ulva lactuca, U. reticulate, Enteromorpha intestinalis and E. fluxuosa. The commonly recorded red algae were Actinotrichia fragilis, Dictyota dictyopteris, D. divericata, Dictyopteris australis, Padina gymnospora, P. tetrastomatica, S. bulbosa and Sargassum polycystum. Among the brown algae, the common species were Acanthophorea spicifera, Amphoroa crassa, A. foliacea,Dsmia hornmanni, Champia indica, Grascillaria verrucosa, G. corticota, Halymenia venusota, Hypnea musciformis and Rhodymenia australis were recorded.

Growing traffic of ships, oil tankers, trawlers, etc. moving inside the Gulf and the activities of the nearby port i.e. Okha.
