28 green algae, 24 species of red algae, 27 species of brown algae and 3 species of sea grasses. The common green algae were Bryopsis pumosa, B. raulosa, Caulerpa racemosa, C. taxiformis, C. crassifolia, Chaetomorpha indiaca, Codium decorticatum, Codium dwarkense, Halimeda capiosa, H. discoidea, H, tuna, Ulva lactuca, U. reticulata, Enteromorpha intestinalis and E. fluxuosa. The commonly recorded red algae were Actinotrichia fragilis, Dictyota atomaria, D. divericata, Dictyopteris australis, Padina gymnospora, P. tetrastomatica, S. bulbosa and Sargassum polycystum. Among the brown algae, the common species were Acanthophorea spicifera, Amphoroa crassa, A. foliacea, Dsmia hornmanni, Champia indica, Grascillaria verrucosa, G. corticota, Halymenia venusota, Hypnea musciformis and Rhodymenia australis were recorded. The common seagrasse form was Holophila ovalis. A total of 40 species of corals were recorded, out of which 8 were soft corals. The species of, M. foliosa, Montipora monasteriata, M. explanata, Goniopora planulata, G. minor, Porites lutea, P. compressa, Favia speciosa, F. favus, Favites flexuosa, Favites complanata, Symphillia radians, Mycedium elephantotus, Turbinaria crates and T. peltata were recorded. The soft corals recorded here were Lobophyton sp., Sinularia sp. and Echinogorgia sp. Among the marine invertebrates, 20 species of sponges, 2 species of hydrozoans, 2 species bryozoans, 4 species of sea anemones, 1 species of jelly fish, 5 species of zoantharians, 5 species of prawn, 2 species of flatworms, 3 species of tube worms, 4 species of shrimp, 8 species of crabs, 5 species of prawn, 3 species of barnacles, 1 species of lobster, 95 species of gastropods, 42 species of bivalve, 4 species of cephalopods, 2 species of nudibranchs, 4 species of echinoderms, 1 species of ascidian and 2 species of urochordata were recorded. Supports 16 species of avifauna in this island.
