No. of Animals recorded/estimated (List):
20 green algae, 15 red and 21 brown algae were recorded. The common green algae were Caulerpa racemosa, C. taxiformis, C. crassifolia, C. sertulariodes, Bryopsis indica, Chaetomorpha indica, Codium dwarkense, Halimeda macroloba, H, tuna, Ulva lactuca and Enteromorpha intestinalis. The commonly recorded red algae were Actinotrichia fragilis, Dictyota altromaria, P. tetrastomatica, S. polucystum, Galxaura marginata and Sargassum polycystum. Among the brown algae, the common species were Acanthophora delilei, A. spicifera, Amphiroa crassa, Champia indica, Gelidiella acerosa, Gracellaria corticata, Halymenia verusota and Hypnea cervicornis were recorded. The dominating mangrove species on the island are Avicennia marina, Ceriops tagal aand Rhizophora mucronata. A total of 22 species of corals were recorded, among them 4 were soft corals. Commonly occuring hard coral species were Montipora monasteriata, M. explanata, Porites lutea, P. compressa, Favia speciosa, F. favus, Favites flexuosa and Turbinaria crates. The soft corals recorded here were Lobophyton sp. and Echinogorgia sp. Among the marine invertebrates, 18 species of sponges, 2 species of hydrozoans, 2 species of bryozoans, 4 species of sea anemones, 1 species of jelly fish, 4 species of zoantharians, 5 species of prawn, 1 species of flatworms, 4 species of tube worms, 2 species of shrimp, 16 species of crabs, 2 species of barnacles, 1 species of lobster, 90 species of gastropods, 40 species of bivalve, 2 species of cephalopods, 2 species of nudibranchs and 2 species of echinoderms and 1 species of ascidian and 2 species of urochordata were recorded. Supports verity of reef fishes, along with turtle, 2 verities of snakes and Dugong population also abundant. Supports 33 species of avifauna.
Bhaidar Island
No. of Plants/macroalgae recorded/estimated (List):
A total of 34 species belonging to 27 genera and 22 families were recorded. Island is covered sparsely with Euphorbia nivulia, Salvadora persica and Maytenus emarginata Capparis deciduas. In the herb Launea sp., Heliotropium sp., Cistanchae tubulosus, Cyperus sp., Boerhavia foliate were also recorded. Mangroves coveres the central part with dominant species of Avicennia alba, Cerips tagal and Rhizopora mucronata.

Threats to the Island:
Fishermen carry out fishing on the reef and stay on the island especially during rough weather conditions.
