A total of 29 species of corals were recorded, out of which 7 were soft corals. Out of which, M. foliosa, Montipora monasteriata, M. explanata, Porites lutea, P. compressa, Favia speciosa, Favites complanata, Mycedium elephantotus, Cyphastrea serulia, Diploastrea heliopora, Favia maxima and Hydnophora exesa, T. peltata and Turbinaria crates were common forms. The soft corals recorded here were Lobophyton sp., Sinularia sp., Subergorgia sp. And Echinogorgia sp. Among the marine invertebrates, 22 species of sponges, 3 species of hydrozoans, 2 species bryozoans, 4 species of sea anemones, 3 species of jelly fish, 4 species of zoantharians, 2 species of flatworms, 3 species of tube worms, 2 species of shrimp, 7 species of crabs, 5 species of prawns, 3 species of barnacles, 1 species of lobster, 78 species of gastropods, 39 species of bivalve, 3 species of cephalopods, 2 species of nudibranch and 3 species of echinoderms were recorded.
Goose Island

79 species of algae and seagrass (24 species of green alage, 29 species of brown algae, 23 species of red alage and 3 species of seagrasses). The commonest green algae species in this reef is Bryopsis pumosa, Caulerpa racemosa, C. taxiformis, Codium decorticatum, C. dwarkanse, Halimeda tuna, Ulva lactuca, Enteromorpha intestanalis and E. fluxuosa. Among the red algae, the common species were Actinotrichia fragilis, Dictyola divericata, Dictyoopteris australis, Padina gymonspora, P. tetrastomatica, Sargassum polycystum and S. bulbosa. The common brown algae species were Acanthophorea spicifera, Amphoroa crassa, Champia indica, Desmia hormmanni, Grascillaria verrucosa, G. corticota, Halymenia venusota, Hypnea musciformis and Rhodymenia australis. The common seagrasses was Halophila ovalis.

Threats to the Island:
The form of reef is under great anthropogenic pressure. Various industries have constructed their offshore terminals as well as jetties of relieance Petrochemical Industries, GSFC, Gujarat Electricity Board etc. for carrying oil, coal, liquid ammonia etc
