As the island does not have reef attached to it, the corals and associated fauna were restricted to only a few forms of rocky and sandy habitats. Even the inter tidal exposure at the island limited to few meters. There were no corals on the island as the reef is absent. Among the marine invertebrates which prefer muddy habitat were recorded here are, 7 species of crabs, 3 species of barnacles, 16 species of gastropods and 4 species of bivalve. Altogether, they contribute 30 species of marine invertebrates.
